It was a tabloid-size fanzine based on Melody Maker & the NME. We wanted a name with initials that spelled something - so AMP. Our publisher/editor was British, so we tended to focus on Brit bands from that era. But we were just fans working out of a garage in San Francisco.Devorah Ostrovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00510543739832008221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6566421164061261185.post-53382344290473188962021-03-11T18:35:24.582+00:002021-03-11T18:35:24.582+00:00You're very welcome. I don't have much background to this interview, it was set up through a phone call to the record company - so nothing exciting. I was a bit nervous beforehand because I thought Wayne might be standoffish. But I really loved the Masque album, and I was excited to talk to him. And he was absolutely lovely!Devorah Ostrovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00510543739832008221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6566421164061261185.post-38835003155964548572021-03-11T15:33:48.519+00:002021-03-11T15:33:48.519+00:00Fab, many, many thanks. Many thanks in advance for the full credit & link. That's much appreciated. Can you take the text from this blog page? Or should I email you with it? I wonder if you could also send me a copy of the fanzine when it's published? If that's not possible, I do understand.Devorah Ostrovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00510543739832008221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6566421164061261185.post-51834374630741041442021-03-11T11:16:16.865+00:002021-03-11T11:16:16.865+00:00Hi Devorah. I resurrected it last year and have done 2 new editions (magazines now due to technical advancements!!). For Issue 8 due this fall I will be revisiting the 1992 album Masque ahead of its 30 year anniversary - are you okay for me to use this article/reproduce the text within the feature please? Will full credits and links of course. Many thanks, James. (the zine is www.tadeusz-fanzine.square.site) James Mountfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02431106539688295952noreply@blogger.com
